OCTOBER 08
FIGHT,
SPECIESISM
SOLIDARITY FOR SEAN KIRTLEY
Protesters met on the grass verge,
where the police held them
allowing a maximum of 15 at a
time to demonstrate outside
Sequani labs. Shortly after
militants made a spontaneous
break for the labs, with police
responding by blocking the
bridge to push back the crowd,
creating minor scuffles, see
pictures to the left.
Multiple attempts were also
made to access the labs using
various pre-planned routes,
meeting police each time, some
of which had dogs. Protesters
then regrouped at the grass
verge to march the original route
around town, as others took part
in more exciting activities.

On Saturday 6th September two
hundred activists made it to
Ledbury, Herefordshire, for the
Carnival Against Vivisection in
solidarity with political prisoner
Sean Kirtley. The day of action
was called by various groups,
including Antispe Britain, in
resistance to the imprisoning of
peaceful campaigners under
SOCPA legislation, and as a stand
for the animals suffering inside
vivisection laboratories.

CIRCUS CANCELLED
Activists told shopkeepers that
Malvern Three counties show was
cancelled recently, they politely
took down posters and handed
VIP tickets (Worth £20 each) to
activists... The posters were then
trashed and the tickets kept...
I wonder who will be in the
grandstand seating bobby?
Thanks for the free fix! People are
so against your disgusting circus
you need to hand out free tickets
just to get them to display your
filth! Solidarity with Sean Kirtley,
had he not been locked up these
bastards would have one extra
face protesting against their
animal abusing ways!
MC SUPPLIER DISRUPTED
A shift change at Cargill/Sun
Valley slaughterhouse in Hereford
(McDonalds supplier, where a
chicken was liberated from in
January) was disrupted after the
carnival. Security refused to let
workers in as they drove around
aimlessly for over an hour.

SOLIDARITY FOR DAN AMOS
Actions continue for imprisoned
campaigner Dan Amos as the SHAC
trial begins this month. 15 activists will
be facing SOCPA conspiracy
charges, which carry a maximum 15-
year prison sentence.
104 HENS LIBERATED
During a dark and quiet night,
something was rustling deep in the
British countryside..
Nestled amongst the tall shadows of
animal exploitation, several figures
were busy breaking into an intensive
battery farm unit. Hens were
awaiting in their prisons, cramped
four or five to a cage, mutilated and
featherless. 104 were saved in a few
small hours and taken to new, loving
homes.
This action was carried out in
solidarity with Dan Amos, a peaceful
protestor who is now in jail. Rather
ironically, while Dan sits inside his
prison cell contemplating his
imprisonment for legally protesting,
we continue onwards to see another
day, 104 'stolen' chickens in our
arms...
Their fate is in your hands; death or
Liberation?

Inspired by recent actions against
Barclays, an ATM in Hampshire
has been glued up.

ANOTHER ATM GLUED
Shortly after workers fixed an ATM
in the westcountry (we wonder
why it was broken in the first
place.) militants visited the
capitalist machine and applied
liberal amounts of super glue to
the card slot.
The New York Stock Exchange
must drop HLS or actions will
continue. If you don't like it
Barclays sell your NYSE shares or
continue profiting from misery
and expect more direct action.
We will not wait for labs to close
with banners, shouts and
propaganda; we will close them
ourselves.

ALF TOUR FOR CHAIRMAN
Over the bank holiday weekend
the ALF were busy on the Exbury
Estate in the New Forest. This is the
family home of Marcus Agius'
inlaws, and the gardens are a
local tourist attraction. Marcus
Agius is Chairman of Barclays.
Barclays have been given a
simple choice; get HLS [LSR] off of
the NYSE, or drop your NYSE
shares. A lack of action can be
seen as nothing less than a
continued betrayal of the animals
inside HLS.
We hope our visit to your inlaws
will help make the decision easier,
especially when you have to
explain to them why their
miniature railway has been
sabotaged, their bridges and
walkways have been painted,
their flowers 'relocated', and why
their 'Wiggly Tree' has lost its
wiggle. Painting across the site
made it clear why we had been,
and rest assured, if you don't do
what we ask, we will return.
See you at Kew Marcus!

THOUSANDS OF
PARTRIDGES LIBERATED BY
THE COUNTRSIDE RESISTANCE
During a night in September, a group
of liberationists set out to locate and
destroy a large scale game breeder
in East Sussex.
Water dispensers were sliced and
combined with feed hoppers to soil
the grain, barbed wire fences were
cut, and a nearby fox trap was
chopped to pieces. However tonight
wasn't about causing economic loss.
It was about liberating innocent
lives.AND causing economic loss!
Workers living on the site in a
portacabin and caravan with dogs
barking through the night didn't deter
us. We located an intensive breeder
shed, crammed solid with hundreds
of young Partridges. Outside was a
run where the birds could leave the
dusty shed to walk through inches of
their own excrement and see the
outside world through metres of wire
mesh and netting. Not any more! A
few hours with us there and the runs
were in pieces, having removed the
roof netting and ripping side panels
down. Thousands of birds were
herded from the units and were last
seen flying off into the skies, back into
the wild where they should be.
These 'people' are fairly thick types so
in case it wasn't clear who had been
we left a few messages around the
place. 'LOST SOMETHING?' adorns the
side of his now empty breeding unit,
along with 'FUCK SHOOTING'.

you waiting for?

HUNT SABBING IN YORKSHIRE
GROUSE SHOOTS SABBED
West & South Yorkshire Hunt Sabs
joined forces on the 30 th August to
stop grouse shoots in the Holme
Valley, near Holmfirth. At the first
shoot, over 25 sabs got between
the beaters and the guns and then
blocked the shooting butts resulting
in most of the bloodsports
enthusiasts cracking their guns and
abandoning the first drive.
Obviously angry at their 'sport'
being stopped, members of the
shoot assaulted one sab to try and
get their video camera, rammed
the sab van and the owner of the
shoot decided it would be a good
idea to put one of the front
windows through on the vehicle.
The next group of shooters, a bit
further down the road, packed up
straight away when they saw the
sabs arriving; however poor
communication meant that they
couldn't tell the beaters who
carried on driving the grouse
towards guns that weren't there.
Realising they had been made
fools of, one of the head beaters
begun shouting at the police to
enforce laws that didn't exist, to
which they just told him the truth.
The day's sabbing was a great
success, with countless lives being
saved and two shoots stopped
from killing.
PHEASANTS LIBERATED
A trip to the White Crag
Plantation on Rombalds moor, led
to the discovery of a fully
functional pheasant pen. The
three small water distributors were
sawn up, along with the
connecting pipes. The main
connector was placed out of
commission and the large water
butts were sliced into.
The pheasant feeders had their
springs removed and the feed
was spread around. The fencing
had holes cut into it, and was
then brought down around the
perimeter. Pheasant feeders in
the vicinity had their lids removed,
and much of the feed was
emptied out. Two large
containers with feed inside had
the bags opened and the feed
was scattered. Two set fen traps
were also found, released, and
then disposed of.
This action is dedicated to the
withdrawal of shooting rights on
llkley moor, do the right thing and
give the moor back to the people
and to the wildlife that lives there.

ALF ROUNDUP
SHOPS IN PARIS ATTACKED
Friday, July 15, 2008: 2 Valette foie
gras stores, on rue des Pyrenees
and rue Saint-Augustin, were visited
by the Animal Liberation Front:
Storefronts and sidewalks were
tagged 'GAVAGE = TORTURE,'
'ASSASSINS, and 'ALF.' The front was
covered with black paint, locks
glued. The electrical power display
on the sidewalk was glued as well.
It's your turn, join the ALF! The ALF
will live as long as animals are
tortured, exploited.
Valette, we will return!
RESTAURANT PAINTED
Media reported that activists in
Umea, Sweden, spray painted a
restaurant that barbequed a whole
270 kilo Ox as a publicity stunt at a
local fair. "Murderers" and "DBF" was
painted on the side of the building.
FUR SHOPS SABOTAGED
Sabotages (smashed windows,
paint bombs, glued locks)
occurred at the beginning of
August in Barcelona at 15 fur
shops because of their
exploitation of animals and in
solidarity with our
compaheros/companeras
imprisoned by the State of Austria.
Activists attacked an Escada (an
international target) shop several
times and other shops that had
previously been targeted.
Another target attacked was the
Junta de Flomologacion de la
Caza, the office that grants
hunting licenses; this was the
fourth attack at this office this
year.
FLA
RABBIT RESCUED
Animal liberation is not just two
words written in zines, web sites, T-
shirts, tattoos or patches; animal
liberation is not just words spoken
at animal rights meetings.
shouted at peaceful
demonstrations or rumors spoken
about different people; animal
liberation is deeds, fury turned into
action, a radical response against
the anthropocentric system of
domination, the love for freedom;
it's what few dare to carry out; it is a
challenge to authority, to society,
to the system and to its institutions. It
is a fire that spreads and that is
unstoppable; it is insurrection.
Animal liberation is all this and
more; so on August 23 a rabbit was
liberated from one of the many
'pet' stores in Mexico City (Federal
District) in broad daylight and
before the eyes of the owners and
nearby merchants.
For the animals there is not justice,
there is only us.

CAGES CUT OPEN AT
ANIMAL LAB SUPPLIER
Late on September 10 we
entered the compound of
Worldwide Primates (16450 SW
180th Street, Miami, Florida) and
cut large holes in 4 outdoor
cages. Each cage held 5 or 6
monkeys.
There is no doubt that monkeys
can survive in Florida. There are
hundreds of wild monkeys in
colonies across the state.
Worldwide Primates is
surrounded by fruit farms.
Worldwide Primates is the
business of convicted baby
orangutan smuggler Matthew
Block. He spent one year in
prison and then went back to
work importing and selling
primates to vivisection labs.
Mr. Block, we haven't forgotten
you. Your work is still criminal in
our eyes.
- Animal Liberation Front
EXPLOITERS TARGTED
In Mexico, the FLA targeted
three companies that exploit
animals. A dairy distributor, an
egg distributor and a ‘seafood’
restaurant were redecorated.
Slogans such as ‘eggs are
torture’, ‘stop the exploitation’,
‘meat is death’ and ‘do not kill
fish’ were spray-painted.
“It is very important to show
the facts of these businesses
to the public, to ask about
what is hidden in packaged
products and their 'beautiful
and artistic' plates filled with
death and suffering.”
MINK FREED ACROSS THE GLOBE
600 IN UTAH, USA
Media reported that in the early
morning of August 19, more than
600 mink were released from their
cages at the McMullin & Sons Fur
Farm (10495 S 1540 W) in South
Jordan, Utah.
4,000 IN BC, CANADA
On Saturday Aug 23, activists
entered a mink farm in
Aldergrove BC CANADA and
released approx 4000 mink. The
farm is next to Aldergrove Lake
Park which provides over 200
acres of water habitat for them to
survive. Operation Biteback is in
full force, let these arrows be our
tears.
8,000 IN DENMARK
Media reported over 8,000 mink
were released from cages at a
farm in Tuenvej, north of
Frederikshavn, early on August 26.
The outer fence was destroyed,
allowing thousands of the mink to
escape into the wild.
100+ IN OREGON, USA
Inspired by the recent liberations
in Utah and British Columbia; we
released between 100 and 150
mink from S&N Fur Farm (40499
Oupor Drive) in Scio, Oregon.
Though thousands more mink
remain imprisoned on this farm,
crammed sometimes 6 and 7 at a
time into filthy feces encrusted
cages, at least some will have a
chance at a free natural life. Also in
the sheds of torture were the cages
of furious foxes, yearning to be free,
rattling their own cages with
vengeance. This is our path through
this chaotic and frustrating world.
Our wisdom will appear to you long
before we will. Till the last cage is
empty, till all beings are free.
ALF
700 IN SWEDEN
During the night of September 1 st,
the horror farm in Harryda was
emptied of all 700 mink during the
third liberation at that death camp
in a year. Many of the animals were
accustomed to masked animal
lovers and were quick to escape
from the misery of the cages. All
mink traps were destroyed to make
sure that the mink got the best
chance to escape. The activitists
only left one trace behind. At a
shed the slogan 'repeat of the 90's'
was left as a reminder to an industry
already sentenced to death.
Always for the animals - DBF
1000+IN SWEDEN
Media reported that more than a
thousand mink were released from
cages at a fur farm outside of
Skara, Sweden, early on Sept 16.
A MOVEMENT EVOLVING
A CRITICAL LOOK AT HIERARCHY
It has been many decades since
the formation of the animal
liberation front as a group of
individuals willing to take action
to save the lives of animals using
tactics which were seen as
radical and direct action which
crossed legal boundaries on
many occasions. The ALF in its
infancy was seen as a group of
super heroes willing to risk
freedom by the public and their
brash actions were revered by
those who saw images of animals
being rescued from the horrors of
the vivisection laboratory.
Some argue the animal liberation
movement has lost public support
after being marginalized as
terrorists by the police lobby
groups and state controlled
media, however support received
during street level activism e.g.
information stalls and animal
rights outreach seems to be as
strong as ever.
It might sound cliche to say
“make no mistake, we are at
war” but this sadly is a fact. With
the creation of the Serious
Organised Crime and Police Act
(SOCPA) and the creation of the
National Extremist Tactical Co-
Ordination Unit (NETCU) evidence
gatherers now interfere with
peaceful demonstrations and
targeting so-called leaders and
camnaian oraanisers of hiah
profile campaigns such as SHAC
(The campaign to close
Huntingdon Life Sciences) and
SPEAK (Against the Oxford
University primate lab).
That said, the use of illegal direct
action has continued across the
UK and animals are being
liberated all the time from farms,
breeders, pet shops and various
other exploitative hell holes. The
clandestine non-hierarchical
nature of the animal liberation
front has always been the key to
its successes this is also the case
with the Earth Liberation Front
who use the “no leader’s" small
cell approach where a group of
friends will decide to take action
in defence of animals or the
planet earth and seem to almost
always avoid capture by police
or security.
So we have two sides to our
movement, the above ground,
and those who take part in
clandestine actions to liberate
animals and sabotage industry.
The police however have, in
recent years taken the easy
option and started to target
legitimate campaigners and
have imprisoned and remanded
many high profile campaigners
such as Greg Avery of SHAC, Mel
Broughton of SPEAK and most
recently Sean Kirtley of the
Seauani camnaian.
The police have taken the easy
road and used “conspiracy”
charges to lock away campaigns
for noisy demonstrations and
supposed intimidation.
Conspiracy is a weapon of mass
destruction for any social justice
movement as the supposed
culprits don't have to have
actually broken the law
themselves, they need to only
have conspired with others or as
the law states “persons or persons
unknown”.
How terrifying for those who have
kept within the boundaries of the
law thinking themselves safe from
police tyranny. The Sequani trial
recently saw a media blackout to
prevent any media coverage of
the case against six campaigners
from fhe Sequani campaign
against the labs in Ledbury,
Herefordshire. The reason being
fhat the trial was a farce, with
supposed witnesses caught out in
lies, admissible evidence given in
court and the small fact that the
judge who sentenced Kirtley was
himself a blood sports enthusiast.
As a movement we will need to
keep up the good fight and open
campaigning in the public eye is
a must but we might be able to
take something from the success
of the ALF and ELF that is the non-
hierarchical structure.
The Carnival Against Vivisection
at the Sequani Labs in Ledbury on
the 6th September saw the first
mass action against a lab in
years which has no organisers
and should serve as a template
for future actions and protest. In a
time when organisers of lawful
demonstrations are criminalised
we must do away with leadership.
If police wish to monitor us and
take our photos we must cover
our faces. If they make legal
avenues of protest impossible we
have no option but to take illegal
direct action.
The police have only themselves
to blame, we can disappear as
an open public protest
movement but when the sun
goes down, those who exploit
humans, animals and this planet
are not and never will be safe
from those righteous people who
are being born every day.
Resist!
9 REMAINING AUSTRIAN
PRISONERS SET FREE
The remaining 9 Austrian
activists have finally been set
free! Since May, 10 activists
had been charged under
278a StGB of the Austrian
penal code. The appeal
court explained that there is
still a danger of committing
further crimes, but the pre-trial
detention cannot be upheld.
The second reason for
detention, danger of
suppression of evidence, is by
law limited to two months,
which have long expired.
EARTH NEWS
NO UK COAL FROM BERLIN
On the night of Thursday 14th
August, in Berlin, we made 7
attacks on Deutsche Bank,
Commerz Bank, Allianz AG and
Dresdener Bank. The locks to the
banks and the card-readers were
glued and 'no to UK Coal 1 was
spraypainted. Deutsche Bank is the
single biggest European investor in
agrofuels in Latin America - funding
projects by Agrenco, ADM, Brasil
Ecodiesel, Bunge, Clean Energy
Brasil, Cosan and Sao Martino.
Agrofuels, far from being an
environmentally preferable
alternative to fossil fuels, are
responsible for deforestation,
industrial agriculture, increased
carbon emissions and soaring food
prices/starvation. Along with Allianz,
Deustche Bank is also one of the
biggest shareholders in UK Coal
who currently plan to build 7 new
coal fired power stations across the
UK. Commerz Bank finances at least
3 agrofuel companies: Agrenco,
Bunge and Tereos. Dresdener Bank
is a subsidiary of Allianz AG. The
targets chosen are both climate
change and capital related.
Exploitation of the environment and
people by State and industry go
hand in hand. They cannot be
separated and both must be
attacked. This attack coincides with
the end of the UK Camp for
Climate Action and the
beginning of the Klima Camp
and Anti-Racissmus Camp near
Hamburg.
Social war not climate chaos!
ELF VANDALISE SEMINIS
The Melbourne office of Seminis, a
company which sells GM fruit and
vegetable seeds, and is owned
by Monsanto, was vandalised on
the morning of the 27th of August
by the ELF.
The ELF covered the building in
slogans declaring Seminis as
’scum' and Earth rapists.
IRISH EMBASSY TARGETED
On the night of Sunday 7
September, the locks in the doors
of the Irish Embassy in Berlin were
glued shut and graffiti left saying
"Shell Out of Rossport" and "No
Pipeline". This action was taken in
solidarity with the people fighting
the laying of the pipeline through
Rossport in Ireland and also
people fighting the destruction of
life by government and
corporations everywhere. For

RESISTANCE TO BORDERS:
BIA VANS TRASHED IN BRISTOL
From Indymedia UK:
On the night of Friday 29th August
the regional headquarters of the
Borders and Immigration
Agency in Portishead were the
target for a response to the routine
violence of forced removal,
detention and deportation. We
made life more difficult for the
thugs in uniform by putting their
vehicles out of operation with a
volatile mix of paint stripper on
bodywork, glass etching fluid on
windows, locks glued, tires burst,
lights spraypainted, mirrors and
wipers removed, as well as some
good old fashioned mechanical
sabotage on all 7 vehicles in the
car park. If a job's worth doing it's
worth doing well. "Racist thugs work
here" was the message painted on
the building.
We stand against the state's
steadily creeping fascism of racist
immigration policies designed to
tighten the grip of capital over all of
our lives, of trialling surveillance and
control technologies such as ID
cards and biometric passports first
on foreigners before imposing them
on everyone, of the creation of a
sub class whose repression justified
by media hysteria and the powers
that be.
In solidarity, for a response to every
abuse and for fighting back in the
social war.
